Karim Sattar, international makeup artist at Dr.Hauschka has recently had a hot trip down under, visiting Sydney and Melbourne, to spill his top makeup tips and tricks.
A consummate professional, Karim has headed photo shoots for top glossy magazines such as Vogue in Greece, Marie Claire in Germany and Cosmopolitan in the Netherlands.
Some of the celebs on his books are actress Jane Fonda, Charlene Princess of Monaco and Anastacia. He has worked with German fashion model, singer and actress Eva Padberg and American fashion model and TV personality CarrieDee English, who won 2006’s America’s Next Top Model, as well as other top models.
Karim who is charity minded, he works to empower trafficked and abused girls and women, has applied his skills at Stockholm and London fashion weeks, New York City’s American Ballet Theatre in 2010 and Style Icon in Vienna this year as well as other worldwide events. Added to these achievements is his lecturing experience from working at the Make up ArtistSkolen in Oslo, Norway and Greek academies Thesaloniki IEK and Cisdesco in Athens between 2004 and 2011.
“I feel privileged to have experienced so many different cultures,” Karim says.
“I believe there is magic between the earth and the sky and I would call myself a spiritual person”. How perfect for Dr. Hauschka.
He is presently working on his first book which he says will be part travel diary and part look book.
